Recipe to adventure

I often wondered what makes these crazy explorers go and explore.
I'm a creature of habit, and being a woman love the security of the predictable. So reading some accounts of explorers in the past to my boys for their schooling, and watching some adventure documentaries which my hubby loves so much makes me hugely uncomfortable.

But my darling's strategy must be working.

He not only has been patiently introducing many interesting accounts of ordinary people adventuring without pushing the envelope... come to think of it, much in the same way he got me into the thinking of "homeschooling"! Rats. I'm falling into the same tactic!

I'm no longer scared to imagine us going places on our own, and in fact I'd admit I quite enjoyed getting away for two whole weeks back in October staying together as a family while traveling places. He even got me to the point I was willing to learn and be on board a boat and consider sailing off shore. Amazing. He's sneaky, isn't he?

He's caught this bug of going exploring and wanted me contaminated with it, I suppose. Misery loves company, and so does adventurers... apparently.

The other part of getting me to the place of willing to follow him, would be the circumstances. This seems to be the winter of our discontent. Don't get me wrong, we are quite content, but the going's been quite tough for quite a while. Darling can't say he enjoys working, though the situation has improved with the new company than the one he was with before. We've attempted some strategies, yet nothing seemed to come to fruition.

Then there is God. Yah.

Sometime ago, He did cause me to pray that my darling will have a dream that he will regain zest for life. And as God Himself reminded me, I didn't specify what kind of dream other than it'd be grounded in His Will. Rats. I can't complain if my prayers are heard!

So we're in the eve of launching into a new phase of our lives. We will be working on selling our house first... before the winter. So we have lots to be done.

It seems all the ingredients to get us out has lined up finally. So let the season begin!
